Happy New Yearโs Eve! Since tomorrow is a holiday, I'm rocking my usual Friday Things today!
1. Josephโs first Christmas was absolutely wonderful! He got the most joy out of wrapping paper and tissue paper, but once the dust settled, he began making good use of some new toys. Current favorites are his alphabet train, which heโs been pushing around everywhere, and his dancing robotย (he LOVES to dance).
Speaking of pushing, his new favorite thing is pushing everything and anything that is not nailed down. One day he was pushing a kitchen chair back and forth and my husband took a video thatโs just hysterical:
2.ย Was the weather crazy where you live last week? We had all of our windows open on Christmas Eve, it was nuts! I guess if it wonโt snow (I ALWAYS want a white Christmas!), then tropical weather is the next-best thing?
3. Loving this list since one of the things I hope to start doing in the new year is waking up early to get a jump on the day >> 10 Things Insanely Healthy People Do Before 9ย A.M.
4.ย Have you heard of โThe Penny Dateโ? Such a cute idea for finding new and different things to do!

5.ย Iโm doing another round of Whole30 in January! I did one back in June/July (you can read about how it went here) and felt so good, but began to lapse back into my old ways of eating, no thanks to the holidays. Iโm definitely looking forward toย pressing the reset button.
6. How amazing are these maternity ward beds? As someone who had a c-section, this would have been a dream come true!
7.ย I got a beautiful Leuchtturm notebook and colored pens for Christmas, and am super excited to start bullet journaling. Iโm hoping that it helps me get back to my more organized ways, which I sort of abandoned this past year.
8.ย Do you have any big plans for tonight?! Weโre having our parents over and making homemade pizzas, but Iโm pretty sure we wonโt be awake past 10:30pm.
9. A couple of nights ago, we watched Mission Impossible. I thought it was okay, my husband said it was his least favorite of the Mission Impossible franchise. It had been ages since we watched a movie; now weโre waiting for the new James Bond to hit on demand or Netflix!

Joseph was so cute pushing the chair! So funny. Heโs really growing up fast โ love his Christmas toys โ they are great. Duke and Einstein look great as usual โ and are clearly keeping an eye on J. I need to get more organized myself โ working on that and on my discipline issuesโฆlol
Absolutely loved watching Joseph pushing the chair. It was so darn funny, I had to watch it 3 times. The look at the camera was, โHey, how ya doin?โ

Happy New Year! I love #3 above. One of my granddaughters gave me a journal for Christmas. She had made the cover! Iโve been writing in it every day, plus I do many of the things on that list. Joseph and the two dogs are absolutely adorable in the first pic. Thanks for your great words of wisdom, the pics and super recipes!
Would love to see another Whole30 review or Whole30 compliant recipes! We are on Day 5 of our first Whole30 because we had no NYE plans. Going strong but always looking for inspiration!

That mission impossible movie was so disappointing. I know Iโm behind the times, but have you seen the Harry Potter movies? I just got into them and they have been great. Happy new year, Michelle!!
Hi Laura, I never got into the Harry Potter books and movies, Iโve only seen small bits of one of the movies. Maybe Iโll have to check them out!
The latest โMission Impossibleโ was lame and Tom Cruise is looking old. I watched the whole show but came away disappointed so I am glad I am only out of a small amount of money to watch itโฆRedBox.

OMG! ! ! I am with Joseph, I think the chair looked so much better over there anyway. Both my husband and I have tears running down our faces from laughing at his looking at the camera as he flies past! He is growing up way too fast. Any news you would like to share with us about an addition? After all, when you two have a little one that adorable, you definitely need another one ! ! LOL !
