The Weekend Dish: 2/22/2020

Hello and happy Saturday to you!
I hope youโve had a fantastic week and all is well in your corner of the world. It was FREEZING here the last couple of days, so Iโm looking forward to a little bit of warmth this weekend. I would love to get more snow (weโve only had one real snowfall this year!) but if itโs not going to snow, then it might as well just be warm!
What are you up to this weekend? Any fun plans? Fill me in!
As always, you'll find a recap of what was posted to the site this week, the most shared recipes, my Sunday dinner menu, and recipes I've bookmarked from other blogs. Enjoy!

Orange Cookies with Sweet Orange Glazeย โ These soft, buttery orange cookies are flavored with orange zest and orange juice, and iced with a sweet orange glaze. Their old-fashioned flavor will remind you of your grandmaโs kitchen!

Grandmaโs Banana Nut Breadย โ My grandmaโs recipe for banana nut bread is a classic banana bread recipe packed full of mashed bananas and chopped walnuts; it can be prepped in 10 minutes and bakes up super moist and dense. A family favorite!

Just made your Pumpkin Doughnut Muffins for
breakfast. ย My family went nuts! ย Delicious ๐ย
Lots of good recipes to try on this weekend blog. Thank u for the great choices. Peanut noodles (will add some chicken), stroganoff stew, korean chicken, and your weekend pancakes made me want some good pancakes. The last pancakes I had at a meal was on our cruise to Alaska over 2 years agoโฆtoo long to go without pancakes๐
I saw โpigs in a blanketโ and thought you were making stuffed cabbage rolls, and got a little bit excited ย . . . . ย I am ever on the search for a good recipe for those and even a good video tutorial or photograph tutorial on how to make these. ย Being born, raised, and still living in Pittsburgh all my life, Iโve had some delicious stuffed cabbage, pigs in a blanket, cabbage rolls โ all of those being names for this wonderful dish. ย The best ones Iโve ever had have been layered with sauerkraut and then cooked on the stovetop. ย I guess my search will continue . . . .
I need to try to find my grandmaโs or my great auntโs recipe, Iโve never made them myself! *putting it on my list!*
I just made Sallyโs dark chocolate chunk oatmeal cookies a couple of hours ago, and they were awesome!
So good to know, thanks for sharing! :)
