Zesty Two-Ingredient Cream Cheese Dip

When I shared the beer and brown sugar kielbasa and sauerkraut recipe, I mentioned that I originally ate it at a fourth of July picnic. A good friend of my husbandโs has a picnic every year, and I swear I walk away every year with a new killer recipe. This dipย in particular isnโt fancy or difficult (heck, it only involves two ingredients!), but when a bowl of this hit the table very late into the night one year, I couldnโt stop devouring it. When I asked for the recipe, my husbandโs friend said it was just cream cheese and onion and pepper relish. Thatโs it. Iโve taken this to countless get togethers and, without fail, people become totally addicted to it and want the recipe.

While you can use any type of onion and pepper relish (or even another type of flavor) that you like, the one that came recommended with this recipe is Harry & David. They make a ton of different flavored relishes, but the onion and pepper is just perfect in this dip โ a little bit sweet with a kick โ a great complement to the cream cheese. Iโm lucky enough to live about 40 minutes from a Harry & David outlet, so I stock up on it every few months. I always have some in the pantry and a stash of cream cheese in the refrigerator for an easy impromptu appetizer or snack for watching the game.
Whether you buy the Harry & David relish or another brand, be sure to always have some on hand for a quick and easy appetizer that everyone will love!

One year I had free shipping for two jars of sweet red pepper and onion relish! ย No more?
Easy to make! Simply delicious! Thanks for the awesome recipe!
Fix this at Christmas and Thanksgiving, everyone loves it, including me, very addictive.
I enjoy your blog and visit almost everyday!
Maybe you would like to try these variations. At holiday time I add a small jar of whole cranberry sauce to the pepper jelly. In the Summer I add a peach or two. Dice canned or fresh peaches to the pepper jelly for a yummy twist.
Hello! Can you confirm, is this the Classic Recipe of Pepper and Onion or the Sweet Recipe? Thanks in advance!
Best stuff ive ever eat ย i love itย
as stated in the content of this recipe, โyou cannot stop eating this dipโ and the preparation cannot be easier. You can also just pour half of the jar on top of a block of cream cheese and not mix. Just serve with crackers and you have a delicious appetizer.
I canโt believe the boys are getting to be so big. I can remember the first picture you had of Dominic โ I couldnโt believe all the hair!! They are both so doggone cute. As far as the dip โ Iโve already pinned and put the relish on my grocery list. canโt wait to try it. Iโm waffling on the Insta-pot. Iโve got so many appliances now that I donโt use on a constant basis that Iโm having a hard time justifying the pot. Will wait to see what you do. Have a wonderful weekend.ย
I really like your site and understand you have to have sponsors, but I can barely see any of your info. now. Ads keeps popping up along with video that takes most of my open window.
I think that is an unfair criticism. The ads do not bother me at all.
Been making this for years and it is Greeeat!! Could eat the whole bowl but am able not to. Sadly the company cut out 2 oz about 3 or 4 years ago as most companies have. Many items we buy today have cut quantity, quality and/or raised the price too. Because of that I shave off an ounce of the cream cheese off the block to keep the dip as it was the first time I made it. Iโve never heard any one say they donโt like it. I prefer it on Pepperidge Farm Butter Butterfly crackers. Harry and David sells in some grocery stores. Here in MO, the family owned Dierbergs Store carries this relish.
I have a jar of Harry and Davidโs Charred Pineapple Relish with Candied Peppers in my fridge โ I bet that would be amazing as well! Will definitely give it a try.
Who doesnโt love a super easy dip! Another two-ingredient dip thatโs great is goat cheese and Trader Joeโs red pepper spread. Mix together, easy peasy, delicious :)
I could use some puppy pictures about now ;)
Need some puppy power for my Friday. :P
I wish Iโd seen this during the holidays when we had a Harry & David store open nearby. Oh well, what a good excuse to hit the outlets!
Oh my gosh this looks so good. I will have to go on the hunt for this onion and pepper relish (how have I not heard of this until now??!!)
This looks super! :D
It looks yummy, Iโll be trying it!
Thanks for sharing
You canโt go wrong with a super easy recipe. It also looks pretty tasty.
This is too easy, and sounds delish! Thanks, BEB!
Just in time for the Superbowl Party! ;) Sounds good and who doesnโt like an easy go to recipe? Will have to try making it this weekend! Thanks for sharing <3
