Our little boy finally made his grand entrance into the world this week!
Joseph David was born on Monday, January 19th at 5:36pm. Every inch of his 7 pound 2 ounce body is perfect and we’re totally in love.

We were so happy to finally get home yesterday afternoon and are all settling in together. I have a ton of recipes loaded up to share with you over the next few weeks; however, replies to comments and emails may be delayed. Thanks so much for your patience as we just sit and stare at this little guy and marvel at the fact that he is all ours!

I’m a pediatrician, and I see new babies every day. They are all blue-eyed at first because that’s how it works. He’s beautiful.
Mom, you say that to all the new Moms.
No, sweetheart. I don’t say anything to a mom whose baby looks like most babies look…squished, red, lumpy. Those babies are beautiful, too…but only to their parents.
Joseph David is a beautiful baby.
AND I CAN’T WAIT TO PLUG HER RECIPES FOR FEEDING Joseph David, and maybe the ones she comes up with for Nursing Mothers… well, because her career has just met the perfect reason to grow and to use the amazing gifts and talents she has. M, I really hope she will keep writing and cooking and inspire other mothers and children… you know, like you and I?
