1.ย Today is mine and my Chief Culinary Consultantโs 1st anniversary! I canโt believe thatโs itโs already been a year since we headed to the beach to say โI do.โย Weโve packed a lot of fun and a lot of life into our first year; I canโt wait for a gazillion more!
2.ย Earlier this week, we took a quick two-day trip out to the Cincinnati area to browse around the National Air Force Museum and check out some tennis at the Western & Southern Open. We made this same exact trip two years ago and had just as much fun this time around. We got to see a lot of different players, and I even snagged some Graeters for the ride home!
3.ย While we had a great time, we really missed our pups. They were only boarded for a couple of days, but I always feel so awful leaving them! The silver lining? They got some much-needed grooms while they were away, so they smell awesome and super soft.
4.ย I saw this birth order chart floating around Facebook, and as a first-born, itโs totally true for me. What about you?
5.ย On a related note, while we were in the car on Wednesday, we were reading up on astrological signs. I had never really read too much about mine or put much stock into them, but was totally amazed when I read it. Iโm an Aries, and the description was nearly spot-on. Totally crazy!

7. One day this week I ate a peppermint-flavored mint and then not too long after, had a couple pieces of chocolate. The combination tasted just like peppermint bark, and now Iโm ready for cozy fires, holiday cookies and wrapping paper. I know. Youโre allowed to slap me.
8. I am 18 week along now, and my belly seems to have exploded this week! Everything is still going well; we have the anatomy ultrasound coming up next week!
9. Iโve seen tons of people on social media over the last couple of weeks posting pictures of their kidsโ first day of school. Maybe it seems crazy to me since I never began school before the week prior to Labor Day, but the beginning of August seems SO early! Itโs still summer!
10. TGIF! These guys are super happy to be back home :)
Okay so this is weird. I was the last born, but raised as an only child. I have traits from both in the birth chart (but most from the โonlyโ). What does THAT mean?
Iโm an only child and that chart is a little too accurate. Scary! There are some things I love about the holidays, but I am so not ready to say good bye to summer.
Iโm just catching up on months of RSS feeds, so 1stโcongrats! Second, please do keep in mind that ultrasound techs can be wrong. Our tech noted โappears to be femaleโ for my dr (itโs this whole crazy BC thing, a policy varying from hospital to hospital, but most wonโt tell you gender; with the second baby, I was surprised he offered to include it in notes for the dr), so even though Iโd been calling baby โheโ till that appointment, we were expecting a sister for our daughter. So Cohen was a bit of a surprise. :)

Happy Anniversary! The baby bump is just adorable! I am a huge fan of peppermint bark, and though I donโt want summer to end, that will be one bright spot in an otherwise long, cold winter. Regarding the sibling chart, it is completely true for my brother and I, but not my teenagers so far. Weโll see if that changes as they get older. It is interesting, though.

You were in my neck of the woods-live very close to the Air Force Museum! Glad you had a good time. Know what you mean about leaving the boys-I donโt go on any trips without Derby. Too old to be stressed by being boarded. But I am a protective momma! Not so true on the birth order! I am SOOO financially responsible, not much of a risk taker and competition isnโt my thing. Hmmmmโฆ.interesting though.
We live near Cincinnati and saw the signs for the tennis tournament near Kingโs Island when we were on I-71 yesterday. Isnโt the Air Force museum the best? And Graeterโs too:) The birth order chart describes me, except for the following the rules part. Iโm not so great about thatโฆ Happy Anniversary!
Happy anniversary! Your trip sounded nice, and I relate โ I hate when we have to board our pup! That birth chart is pretty spot on with me and my siblings and my own kids โ amazing.

I was just talking to a friend last night about the early back-to-school photos Iโve seen! I would have been horrified as a child if Iโd had to return to school mid-summer!

Happy Anniversary! Our 35th anniversary is just a couple weeks away.
For my family the chart is not correct. My oldest brother is like the middle, the next brother is like the firstborn, my older sister is a mix of all and I as the last am like an only child. There is only 7 years between the oldest and youngest.

Love number 6, that kid is so adorable and funny. I am with you on the mint and chocolate thingโฆmaybe because in Australia itโs so cold right now, it might as well be Christmas! On the birth order thing, I am a middle child but the first-born sounds more like me. Your tummy is looking good!
