Friday Things #509
1. Thank you to everyone who has asked how Dominicโs recent scans turned out; we got word from his oncologist late last week that the scans looked good; he remains in remission! He also received neuroblastoma vaccine injection #5 while we were there. Thank you, as always, for keeping him in your prayers โค๏ธ
2. My sister got Isabelle an apron for Christmas, and she LOVES it; whenever Iโm in the kitchen, she takes out her apron and asks what she can help with. She is such a wonderful helper!
3. Both of the boys received awards at school this week; both were nominated by their respective teachers for exemplifying kindness, helpfulness, a good work ethic, and getting along with classmates. I canโt even express how much my heart was bursting with pride ๐
4. If you seal and save puzzles, do you end up framing them? I have sealed a couple of them and after I finished my most recent puzzle, I was about to put it back in the box, but the kids begged me to save it. So I ordered more of the Mod Podge Puzzle Saver that I use, but I havenโt actually done anything else with the few puzzles that I have sealed.

6. Tomorrow is National Carrot Cake Dayโฆ what are your favorite carrot cake add-ins? I LOVE pineapple, raisins, coconut, and pecans!
7. Has anyone felt like all of January has been a stutter step in getting the year started? Between more rounds of illnesses here, the trip to New York, and lots of random errandsโฆ I feel like we havenโt had one normal week or even half a week!
8. TV talk! We really liked Blue Lights and also started No Offence (BritBox), which we are loving!
9. I just saw a promo for The Greatest Night in Pop on Netflix, which is a behind-the-scenes documentary on the making of the โWe Are the Worldโ single back in the โ80s. I canโt wait to watch!
10. TGIF!ย These two are just the best of friends ๐๐ฉท

I just watched The Greatest Night in Pop tonight and it was amazing! As a true child of the 80s, I remember when that song was originally released and when it was played simultaneously on all radio stations. I had no idea it was recorded in one night and what went into the writing and recording! It was fascinating!

Loved The Greatest Night In Pop! ย Just finished it yesterday. ย Who knew how much work goes into all the steps of recording a song and with such a large group of artists. ย Amazing!
American Nightmare was infuriating but great to watch. ย Enjoying Criminal Record on Apple TV but wish all the episodes were there at once.
Iโm stunned how quickly this winter seems to be going. ย Iโm going with the American groundhog because the Canadian one said 6 more weeks of winter. ย ๐ย
You certainly CAN frame your puzzles! After itโs been Mod-Podged (is that a word? lol) simply measure it, allowing an inch or so on each side. You should be able to find an inexpensive plastic frame at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, etc. I got mine at Michaels.

Our January has been a sluggish start, too. Congratulations to Dominic and Joseph for their very special award. How wonderful they are showing their character at this age. Love the pic of your kitchen helper Isabelle and her apron. If you and your family love puzzles, you may want to check ย out Fox Smart Box-Jigfoxy. They make beautiful puzzles using unique shapes pertaining to the puzzles. Tiny pieces. I gave a few of them as presents this year to nieces and nephew. The whole family ended up working on them together. I ordered through Amazon.
