1. These two have been nearly inseparable latelyโฆ I love watching their friendship grow ๐
2. Dominic had his second neuroblastoma vaccine injection this week and tolerated it well again โ very painful when he gets it but they encourage him to move around a lot after and he feels better within five minutes or so, then heโs good. He hasnโt had any other side effects so far.
3. These two enjoyed a gorgeous walk while we were gone last week โค๏ธ
4. After reading Book Lovers, I became enamored with small towns, so Iโm loving this list of Americaโs Best Small Towns. Have you been to any of these?

6. Are potato skins still a thing? I remember eating them at a diner when I was a kid, but I donโt think I see them on appetizer menus much anymore.
7. Do you prefer cream pies or fruit pies? I LOVE a good coconut cream pie, chocolate cream pie, or pecan pie. Fruit always takes a backseat for me!

8. Speaking of fruit, do you ever put a dressing on fruit salad? I saw a reel on Instagram last week that showed a fruit salad with a honey and lime juice dressing; Iโve never dressed a fruit salad. Does it make it soggy faster? Does it keep it fresher? So many questions!

Potato skins were so popular before, I imagine they have gone the way of other โfoods time forgot.โ At least we still have the delicious memories, right?

Boca Grande, beautiful, went decades ago, in the 90โs. After living in Boca Raton, Delray Beach, the West Coast of Florida is totally different than the East and much slower to develop totally different kind of people New Yorkers navigate to the East and mainly midwestern to the West .

Glad Dominic continues to tolerate his injections. Iโm wondering if you have to travel for these treatments & worry about the expense (of course itโs worth any expense for this dear boy).
I make a coleslaw with fruit in it & it has a dressing. Also I add fruit to lettuce salads (apples, mandarin oranges, etc) and dress them w/poppyseed dressing. Also Waldorf Salad has mayo dressing. So I say YES to dressing for fruit salads.
I just had potato skins last night. Our local Sea Galley is closing next week so my daughter, granddaughter and I went to wish it a fond farewell. I used to work close by and would get potato skins as a once-a-week treat. I havenโt had them in forever. They were so good. Continued prayers for your entire family. I am so glad the Domonic is tolerating the treatments well.
I make a honey and lime dressing for my fruit salad and everyone loves it. This dressing brings a freshness to the salad that I love. When I bring the salad to a potluck, I mix it in a small mason jar and then toss the fruit salad with the dressing when I get there. You should give it try!

Dominic is so brave! So thankful heโs doing so well. All 3 of the kiddos are too adorable for words. I hope youโve read The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek! It was one of my favorites this year. So many books, so little time! Thanks for sharing your days with us. You are an inspiration more than you can know.ย
Seriously, Dominicโs sweet smile make my heart melt. He has such a strong spirit and lord, he is one tough young man. I pray that these shots keep him safe and disease free for years to come.

I have changed up the fruit used, too. ๐ I have not noticed it getting soggy, it seems to get better with time in the dressing.

Dominic is a tough little boy. May he continue to tolerate all these trials they must put him through. He has a huge fan base. Not to forget the other two- they are important as well. They are his daily fans.
Girdwood, Alaska! We went several summers ago and it was a great area! ย Besides a wonderful hike there was a crepe food truck at the brewery that was amazing!!
