Friday Things
1. Duke will be three months old on Monday! Can you believe it?! He’s getting much bigger; I can barely pick him up anymore. So sad! He’s got such a cute personality, and he and Einstein continue to be great playmates.
2. Tomorrow we are throwing a party here at our house to celebrate our wedding! We invited some family and friends over for a casual get-together since we got married on the beach in Florida. No, I did not bake my own wedding cake (but we are getting one!) and yes, we are having a cookie table. Photos to come!
3. I’m loving this list of wardrobe essentials by StitchFix. I might need to go shopping! What do you consider must-haves in your closet?
4. My husband saw this workout tweeted by Gary Player last week…
I’ve done it a handful of time and it’s hard. It says for beginners to do three sets, but I could only do one, and had to take a break during some of the exercises. The morning after I did this the first time I was incredibly sore. That makes me feel like I actually did something. It’s a quick workout that I’ve been doing before I hop in the shower. Anything to get moving!
5. Speaking of getting moving, we just had a new treadmill delivered this week and it’s all sorts of awesome. Do any of you use iFit? Any tips on creating workouts or finding cool ones? I’m loving it!

6. Having a puppy that’s still getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom every night makes me feel like this every.single.day.
7. I would love to wake up and have tomorrow be Monday. Why, you ask? Because I’m getting all new kitchen appliances! It’s like Christmas… in September! I can’t wait to show them to you once they’re all in. This has been on my to-do list since we bought the house back in May, so I am extremely giddy that the day is finally (almost) here!
8. One week from tonight… hockey is back! I can’t wait to walk into that chilly arena and hear skates cutting through ice. I’m excited to get back into my soft pretzel and diet soda routine ;-)
9. So, my husband love, love, loooooooves soggy cereal. As in, he fills his bowl with cereal, drowns it in milk, and then lets it sit on the counter for like 10 minutes until it is complete mush. He claims it’s the best thing in the world. I claim it’s awful; I love crispy, crunchy cereal. Is this a gender thing? Or just a personal preference? I’m so perplexed about this desire for mushy Raisin Bran!

Your fur babies are insanely adorable! I could just hug them right through my PC! I love the exercise sheet…we’ve been doing some parts already, but the additional exercises really rounds out the routine! Good luck on the kitchen…it’s so much fun to get new things!
you should try a beachbody program called Focus T25(only 25mins a day) or Turbo Fire..these are interval training type workouts similar to the one u posted….check beachbody.com …amazing!!!!
I think it’s a guy thing..my husband loves soggy cereal too and so does my dad. I think it’s so gross!!! I hate mushy cereal. I put the least amount of milk in mine just so the crisp factor stays haha ;) I can’t wait to see your new appliances!

Having two dogs has been wonderful, hectic, crazy and a joy. I know, total contradictions, but that’s life right now ;-) Some days we are like, “what were we thinking?!” but others we absolutely love it. Most of the former has to do with Duke being a puppy, of course!
I share your weekly Duke and Einstein photo with both my husband and daughter and we all look forward to a new one each week. Nothing cuter than the 2 of them.
The pics of Einstein and Duke are killing me, they’re so cute! I think if I had these two guys in my life, I would want to spend all my time with them. So, so beautiful! The last pic of Duke leaning on Einstein’s head looks as if they’ve always been in each other’s lives.
I love my cereal crunchy, if I wanted it soggy, I’d have oatmeal. In my opinion, the worst cereal to get soggy is corn flakes. Ugh, I can’t stand looking at it beyond that point. It’s got a short life in that bowl of milk, a few minutes I would say.

I think it’s just a preference, although when it’s any kind of Cap’n Crunch I’m a little relieved when it starts to go soggy-ish toward the bottom of the bowl.

i can’t even do one sit up! But i just had to tell you that these big dog, little dog photos are totally adorable. And they are both adorable! And I never use that word. Like ever! But it is true. Have a great celebration!

I’m with you on that sign, only my baby who makes me keep getting up is a human one–she turned one this past Saturday and still thinks that she needs to wake me up at least once or twice a night. I cannot WAIT till this phase is done!

I’m in the soggy cereal camp. I actually set the timer for 10 minutes so it’s the perfect degree of sogginess! Duke and Einstein are so cute – almost as cute as my furry baby! :-) I look forward to all your posts, but always check on Fridays for the dog pictures!
Ok, my younger son LOVES soggy cereal! He even drinks all of the milk afterwards when it is warm! GROSS! I love crunchy cereal and haven even been known to eat dry cheerios (apple-cinnamon are the best!). Duke is really coming into his own, and I love the picture of Duke and Einstein at the end, so cute! I hate to say it, I can only tolerate hockey, my husband is a huge Flyers fan (season tickets and all) and loves it when I break down and go to a game with him. My youngest son is now living in Pittsburgh (Hail to Pitt) and threatening to become a Penguins fan, it is like a knife to my husband’s heart.

Soggy cereal is gross. I like mine crunchy and with no excess milk in the bowl when the cereal is gone. Enjoy your wedding party tomorrow and YEAH for the cookie table!

I sometimes eat Cheerios but eat them as a snack. DRY. Most everyday of the year I am going to eat oat bran and it is meant to be soggy.
