Friday Things

1. Duke will be three months old on Monday! Can you believe it?! Heโs getting much bigger; I can barely pick him up anymore. So sad! Heโs got such a cute personality, and he and Einstein continue to be great playmates.
2. Tomorrow we are throwing a party here at our house to celebrate our wedding! We invited some family and friends over for a casual get-together since we got married on the beach in Florida. No, I did not bake my own wedding cake (but we are getting one!) and yes, we are having a cookie table. Photos to come!
3. Iโm loving this list of wardrobe essentials by StitchFix. I might need to go shopping! What do you consider must-haves in your closet?
4. My husband saw this workout tweeted by Gary Player last weekโฆ
Iโve done it a handful of time and itโs hard. It says for beginners to do three sets, but I could only do one, and had to take a break during some of the exercises. The morning after I did this the first time I was incredibly sore. That makes me feel like I actually did something. Itโs a quick workout that Iโve been doing before I hop in the shower. Anything to get moving!
5. Speaking of getting moving, we just had a new treadmill delivered this week and itโs all sorts of awesome. Do any of you use iFit? Any tips on creating workouts or finding cool ones? Iโm loving it!

6. Having a puppy thatโs still getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom every night makes me feel like this every.single.day.
7. I would love to wake up and have tomorrow be Monday. Why, you ask? Because Iโm getting all new kitchen appliances! Itโs like Christmasโฆ in September! I canโt wait to show them to you once theyโre all in. This has been on my to-do list since we bought the house back in May, so I am extremely giddy that the day is finally (almost) here!
8. One week from tonightโฆ hockey is back! I canโt wait to walk into that chilly arena and hear skates cutting through ice. Iโm excited to get back into my soft pretzel and diet soda routine ;-)
9. So, my husband love, love, loooooooves soggy cereal. As in, he fills his bowl with cereal, drowns it in milk, and then lets it sit on the counter for like 10 minutes until it is complete mush. He claims itโs the best thing in the world. I claim itโs awful; I love crispy, crunchy cereal. Is this a gender thing? Or just a personal preference? Iโm so perplexed about this desire for mushy Raisin Bran!
10. TGIF! Hereโs to lounging with best friends (poor Einstein!) :)

I definitely need to try that workout. I actually really like burpees. New kitchen appliances are like Christmas to be sure. Canโt wait to hear more about the wedding festivities!
Michelle..I wanted to leave this comment last week when I saw this pic of โ the boysโ but you have to enter this pic of them in the WPHS (Western Pennsylvania Humane Society) calendar contest. Itโs a great fund raiser for them.
re: treadmill. Mine has a ledge above the readouts so I prop my Kindle up and read while walking. Time just flies by.
Your puppy is soo cute, I love him! Weโre thinking about getting a puppy and as much as itโs a terrifying thought, if he was as adorable as yours is then I think I could manage :)
(ans Iโm totally with you on the cereal front โ soggy cereal is the worst!!)
Soggy cereal = EWWWWWW. My husband isnโt bothered by it. I donโt even put milk on my cereal โ I eat it plain. Even wet and crunchy is too much for me! haha And the workout you posted sounds very similar to some of the killer Crossfit WODs that we get put through. I donโt think I could tackle that first thing in the morning before coffeeโฆ
Duke and Einstein are so sweet togetherโreally enjoy seeing the bonding photos. And I had to chuckle about the soggy vs. crunchy cereal. I have been known to pour just a couple of mouthfulโs worth of cereal at a time into my bowl for the express purpose of not having the cereal get soggy. I repeat several more times until I have my full bowlโs worth. That way every bite is delightfully crunchy and not icky soggy! :-)
