1. Last Saturday morning, we took the kids to watch a Penguins practice and they had the BEST time. We had taken the boys before, but itโs been over two years, so they were much younger. All three of them thoroughly enjoyed it and the icing on the cake was having Sidney Crosby flip a puck over the glass to them at the end of practice. Their day was made!

4. Okay, I have another Wordle spinoff for you! Last weekend, a friend introduced me to Quordle and I am totally hooked. Itโs HARD! There is a grid with four games and youโre playing them all at once and you have 9 tries to complete all 4 words.
5. Whatโs your favorite guilty pleasure or indulgence? I feel like mine is definitely a cheeseburger and French fries. My go-to comfort food, for sure.

8. Did you watch the Super Bowl? Did you have a favorite commercial? We loved the Larry David one!
9. Weโve been bouncing around with some different shows recently; we watched Blood because we loved Adrian Dunbar in Line of Duty so much. The first season was okay; the second one was really, really good but the finale left us underwhelmed. Then we watched The Capture, which was CRAZY.

Great photos at the hockey practice and the puck was a bonus.
I am not sure if you/your kids would be interested but I thought I would let you know that the pair of Bald Eagles nesting at the Washington Dc Arboretum have produced an egg.
The nest has two cameras focused on it which have a 24/7 audio&video feed. It is an amazing up close and personal look at a wild nest and fascinating on so many levels. Hopefully a second egg will be produced but in any case, if all goes well, at least one eaglet should hatch 34-36 days from now. The website has lots of interesting information about the mated pair as will and the life cycle process. You might want to check it out and see if it would be a good fit for your kids.ย

Love the pictures and getting updated every Friday. Iโve been watching The Gilded Age on HBO and really like it. Season 2 of Sanditon on PBS will be starting soon and if you havenโt seen the first season I highly recommend it. Swoon!
Iโm not sure Iโm ready for QUORDLE ๐. Iโve also been told about LEWDLE but I couldnโt come up with any lewd words to use. ย For now, Iโm sticking with WORDLE.
In an assertive communication course I attended some time ago, it was recommended that we didnโt give a reason for declining nor to say sorry but to decline in a nice way. ย The lesson behind it is that we donโt have to apologize or provide and excuse for why we were declining. ย Providing reasons gives the inviter the opportunity to negotiate.
Just finished AfterTaste and Help on Acorn. And Inventing Anna on Netflix as well as the latest season of Sweet Magnolias. ย All were excellent.

We are going to be having a yummy pork shoulder in the crockpot this weekend with a couple of lifelong friends. Itโs cold (40s) today in Hot Springs, Arkansas, but they are predicting warm 60s this weekend, to be followed my possible snow flurries next week โ welcome to Arkansas! :-)
