Friday Things #452
1. Last weekend, I briefly heard the kids awake out in the hallway early but dozed back off and woke up a little while later. They often find each other in the morning and play in each otherโs rooms, but it was so quiet and when I came downstairsโฆ I found them all in the playroom together, Joseph and Isabelle coloring and Dominic working on a puzzle. They seemed so grown up!!
2. Ina Garten is so fantastic, I love how much she seems to just love life and doesnโt apologize for it.

4. And now I really want to rewatch The Golden Girls from the beginning!
5. Iโm not really into celebrity news or gossip, but this article about candid celebrity photographs from the 90โs and how it was the โlast good timeโ totally hit home for me! I was in high school during the mid-90โs and it absolutely felt that wayโฆ no one had cell phones, nothing was posted on social media; looking back, we were so free! Apparently, I am now old enough to reminisce about how much better things were โback in my dayโ ๐
6. Weโre forecasted to get a snow storm on Sunday night and everyone in this house is verrryyyyyy excited! Weโve barely gotten any snowflakes so far this year, and weโve been waiting!

8. Gosh, I feel this so much! Iโve been needing my โclose upโ glasses more and more lately!
9. Love, love, loved the Yellowstone finale (gah, SO GOOD, I hope they make a million seasons of that show, canโt get enough). We also started 1883, which weโre enjoying! And now weโre catching up on the last two seasons of Cobra Kai to relive our childhoods ๐
10. TGIF! These two know how to relax!

Iโm almost the same age as Ina, but my goals match Reeseโs (except I donโt always get outside). :-) We got our first major snow in KC last night. Everything is pretty & white and Iโm staying inside!

Iโve tried twice now to watch Yellowstone and I just canโt do it. ย Some of characters Iโve seen so far are so unlikable which Iโve been told is why a lot of people watch it.
Your no. 7 resonated with me as I feel like right now Iโm wishing my life away to a time when covid has eased so that restrictions are no longer in place. ย Iโve cancelled 4 cruises since it all started and this was supposed to be my fun, carefree retirement. ย I realize Iโm very privileged to be able to plan these things but having to cancel makes me sad.

Duke and Judith seem to know how to just appreciate the moment they are in!
I agree with you assessment about the 90โณ being the last time were were really freeโฆno Facebook or โalternative factsโ or misinformation. No pressure to present onesโ self online as Instagram perfect, no missing so much because we are looking at our phones. The 90โs seem like a lifetime away for sure. I honestly cannot imagine how difficult it must be for pre-teens and teens to navigate the challenging process of just growing up with so much coming at them constantly.
One plus of the Internet is wonderful, uplifting, positive blogs like BEB. Thanks for sharing your sweet family every Friday.
