Friday Things #415

1. I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful holiday weekend. Our little bunnies enjoyed finding their baskets and seeing what was inside!
2. This little peanut turned THREE this week! Like so many things, it simultaneously feels like sheโs been here forever and that she was just born yesterday.
3. The boys have been doing a ton of playing in the basement lately; on Monday morning I went down there and found thisโฆ ๐คฃ
I couldnโt stop laughing! They told me those were their hockey helmets, and they eventually dug into the winter gear for thick mittens to wear as their hockey gloves.
4. Some fantastic suggestions (I love when my kids want to be in the kitchen with me!) >> Tips for Kids in the Kitchen

5. I saw someone post on IG that if you put a damp paper towel next to the cutting board as you slice onions, it wonโt make your eyes water. I havenโt had to cut an onion since I read it, so I havenโt tested it yet. Has anyone tried this??! Iโm so curious if it works!
6. This weekโs little heatwave has me ready a slice of no-bake banana split dessert.
7. Really liked this article on ways to remain calm; my favorite section was #4 โ adding โjust like me sometimesโ to the end of a sentence.
8. Itโs Masters weekend! One of my absolutely favorite sporting events to watch; does anyone else stay glued to the TV?
9. We finished up watching Unforgotten (loved it!) and are now catching up on some episodes of Harrow.
10. TGIF! Judith is so very cozy ๐

As usual, a wonderful ย link list and update! Love seeing your updates, my life is VERY similar over here in NJ!
I tried the damp paper towel trick and it worked pretty well for me! ย First though โ it has to be REALLY damp, like, not dripping water wet, but almost โ then I was pleasantly surprised! ย I would rate it a 7/10? ย Maybe 6.5/10? ย
Thanks, Michelle! ย Especially loved the link with ways to remain calm. :)
Your No Bake Banana Split Dessert is amazing!

I love the Masterโs. Thanks for the reminder.
Happy Birthday Isabelle๐
I tried the paper towel trick. ย I think my eyes tears up worse than ever. ย Big fail, for me at least!
I keep a small fan in my kitchen cabinet. ย When the onions come out so does my little fan. ย
I set the fan to my right and it sends the โcry chemicalsโ to the left and away from me. ย
Been using this method over 10 years now and never looked back.

Yes! The Masters is big in my house. My son is named after Rory McIlroy lol
Adorable pictures! Re the onions-I havenโt heard of that trick, but, if Iโm wearing my contact lenses, then I have no problems. Iโve seen โonion gogglesโ at stores. Iโm curious too if anyone has tried the damp paper towel trick, will try it the next time Iโm not wearing contacts.
Oh wow I love Harrow. So glad you like it too. Also watch Hudson and Rex, a Canada show. Also watch Nancy Drew but thatโs way to dark for your kids. Not many family oriented shows are there?
My kids are still so little that they watch some stuff on Disney or Nick Jr. Any of the shows I talk about here, my husband and I watch in the evenings after the kids go to bed :)
