1. The kids busted out their Halloween costumes last week and had so much fun running around as superheroes :)
2. Isabelle got her car seat flipped around and oh my goodness, she looks so big sitting there!!
3. Joseph seems to be getting so much older! Just watching him think through things, how he talksโฆ seems so much more like a big boy now than a preschooler โค๏ธ๏ธ
4. But ugh, is the seasonal allergies are so awful right now. His poor little eyes have been so swollen and itchy. Poor guy ๐
5. Exciting news! Our refrigerator is being delivered this afternoon! After spending nearly a month without a working refrigerator in our kitchen (SO grateful for having an extra in the garage), I canโt tell you how excited I am to get this bad boy here.

7. This past week was the first time this year the temperature has crept into the upper-80s aaaaaaand so now Iโm basically ready for fall. Gah, I just canโt tolerate heat and/or humidity, it makes me so miserable! Luckily the highs are going to be in the 60s again for the next handful of days because this is basically me:

9. Are you watching anything new? We started the Lance Armstrong 30 for 30 on Sunday night (love, love, love ESPN documentaries โ I think theyโre so well-done!) and going through some Dateline-esque shows.

Hi Michelle! ย Another Pittsburgh girl here and I love your recipes! ย I also have 3 kids but my oldest is almost 20 so I really enjoy watching your kids go through the toddler years โ it brings back happy memories!
For your laundry room โ I have the same situation and wanted to use the extra space more efficiently. ย We did custom Elfa shelves through the Container Store and installed them ourselves. It was easy and we are not super handy people, lol. ย We did a combo of shelves and drawers, which are great for holding snacks.ย
Gosh your children are so cute and theyโre growing so fast! ย It goes way too fast (sometimes not fast enough๐). As a suggestion for your pantry, I have used, for 10 years, ikea pax cabinets, I love them so much that when we moved they came with me, they can have drawers, shelves or wire drawers, there are quite a few accessories for them, too. ย Theyโre quite deep and with the drawers nothing gets forgotten about at the back. ย Perhaps they have a colour that would compliment whatโs in your laundry room๐
Itโs great to see the childrenโs imaginations at play, but Iโve got to say, when did they get so big?? Isabelle, especially seems to have sprouted a few inches! Where I live in Canada, we have endured heat in high 20โs and low 30โs โฆ.in May!!! Just prior to that, I had shut off my heat for the winter, and now we have the air conditioner working full blast. I ,also, am not a fan of hot and humid weatherโฆgive me fall weather and I am happy. Have a safe weekend.

Love watching your children grow!! I donโt do well with humidity and โhigherโ heat!! Low humidity I can handle up to maybe 85, but 60โs and 70โs are my ideal numbers. Do love many things about summer though! Spring and fall are my favorite seasons! Havenโt watch any โnew:โ TV. I do love the Hallmark movie channel.

There is something about, when you move the booster seat to forward facing, that they really do look so much bigger!

Weโre basically twins- I feel like Iโm the only person who hates the summer! Iโm in Connecticut and I feel like the summers have only gotten more hot and humid-Or Iโm just getting old lolย And Yessss loving all the sports documentaries! Iโm not even a huge sports fan but I always love them. Youโre right ย they are so well done.ย
I just want to take a second to tell you how much I love this space. I rarely comment but I come on every week to read this and all the time for recipes. Iโm a long time reader (like wayyyy pre kids for both of us) and I just love that you have stayed consistent. You never try too hard to conform to the latest trends. Hi Kim, We got a GE Monogram refrigerator, which is what was there before! Our options were pretty limited because the space in our kitchen is a 42โณ built-in and we definitely wanted a water/ice dispenser on the outside, so that narrows things wayyyyyyy down, ha!
I hear you on the heat and humidity! Really, thereโs no pleasing me, because I donโt like extremes, and my comfort range is about 60-78F with max 20% humidity. <โ so narrow, tsk tsk. But, I'm not pleased that Spring seems to have made no more than a cameo appearance. I'm not sure I can plant tomatoes without them suddenly hitting a frost.
My blue car is more green than not, thanks much pollen. Hope your little guy hangs in there on allergies!
The kids are really growing, great job! I just watched a couple new shows that were good. On AppleTV I liked โThe Morning Showโ and โDefending Jacobโ. The season finale of Defending Jacob is tonight. On Hulu I liked, โLittle Fires Everywhereโ. LFE is a 1 & done limited series & Defending Jacob seems to be, too. Thereโs a little talk of it becoming an anthology series. Who knows.
I feel the same way about the heat. Every one else is jumping up and down because itโs warm and Iโm miserable. It takes me a week or two before my body adjusts, I hate perspiring. I drag around and generally canโt get anything done. I get motivated again in the Fall. ย I feel so out of step.ย
