Friday Things #346
1. Dominic absolutely adores his big brother. On the days when Joseph is at school and Dominic is at home, heโs happy to play with me, but sort of wanders around like a little lost puppy dog. As soon as Joseph gets home, he lights up and is SO thrilled to run off and play with him. Even though they bicker constantly, they LOVE playing together.
2. We got our first snow of the year this week! The local news said we were going to get less than an inch, but we ended up with nearly four inches of snow. Three little people were absolutely THRILLED. Joseph is obsessed with getting enough snow to go sled riding; hopefully, he doesnโt need to wait too much longer!
3. Isabelle, meanwhile, is currently obsessed with her boots (if I put on her sneakers, she takes them off, throws them aside and says, โboots!โ ๐คฆโโ๏ธ), her sunglasses, and wearing Dominicโs swim goggles. She has also started helping with pancakes on Saturday mornings and whenever the boys help with any other kitchen project :)
4. Itโs that time of year! Whatโs your favorite holiday movie? I canโt wait to start queuing them up :)

8. Iโve talked many, many times about how I just do not enjoy coffee, but after a loooooooong night Wednesday night with the boys (hello, full moon!), I was desperate yesterday. After I dropped them off at preschool, I ran through the Starbucks drive-through and got a peppermint mocha andโฆ I kind of loved it. Flavored coffee may convert me!
9. We binged Peaky Blinders over the last week since finishing Jack Ryan, and now weโre onto an older BBC show, MI-5. Pretty good!

I canโt stand coffee at all and the flavored stuff is even worse. The smell is just terrible to me. I vaguely recall you saying you donโt care for tea โ Iโm curious, have you tried any English brands of tea? Taylorโs of Harrogate or Ahmed are two that I enjoy. They have a smoother finish to the taste when drinking. Also, what Americans call Demerara sugar goes better with English brands of tea than our white sugar does. Add your choice of milk (if I make a mug of tea (about 16 oz) I use about 2 oz of milk). Some like less or more milk though. And an important side note, a standard US coffee mug is 16 oz โ shape/design doesnโt matter โ theyโre all 16 oz, which means you need 2 tea bags (or 2 tsp of loose leaf). Iโd be happy to send you a tea sampler and some Demerara if youโd like.ย
I love that your girl is obsessed with boots! My now teenage daughter was obsessed with her Strawberry Shortcake snow boots around that age and wore them into the summer. Pictures of her wearing them with sun dresses and even her swim suit are my favorites!
Ok so love the last picture of isabelle and doggie. Melting the yuck of this day away. As a young girl I always loved bootsโฆstill kind of do actually and Iโm definitely not a young girl any more lol. Have a good weekend all. His mercies are new each morning, tomorrow is a new day๐
Love the goggles! Isabelโs such a cutie. Iโve never had a cup of coffee. I once tasted my momโs coffee & thought it was yucky, so Iโve never tried it again. Love the smell, though.

Iโm totally with you about the coffee. Never been a fan. But OMG the Starbucks peppermint mocha is the bomb!! Thatโs the only โcoffeeโ youโll ever see me drink.
Ummโฆ..so, top picture of the three kiddosโฆ.they are totally cute, but is that a lazy Susan on top of an updside down bowl so you can spin your cake while you decorte it?
If so, THAT IS A BRILLIANT idea for those of us with no room to store a real cake decorating platform. If thatโs not what it is, you should totally lie and say it is because again, brilliant!
Oh gosh, thank you but itโs not! Just a bowl upside down on a drying rack with its lid on top :)
We got our first snow this week too โ I hated every minute of it โ lol- it was a nasty winter storm with freezing rain, then snow and then super cold temps. Havenโt started the holiday movies yet but I am working on a list. The kids are adorable as usual.

I cannot believe how quickly your little guys have grown! Iโve been a subscriber to your site for some time now. BTW, with regard to #3. Isabelleโs obsession with boots, perhaps she would be happy with a pair of indoor slipper boots (saw a number of them over at Amazon). I reside in the upper Midwest and I wear my pair every winter (purchased from Blainโs Farm & Fleet) with socks and my feet stay toasty.
