Friday Things

1. Somehow, some way, this sweet baby girl is turning ONE tomorrow! This has been, without a doubt, the fastest year of my entire life. To say I have no clue where the time has gone is a massive understatement. Weโre so excited to celebrate her special day, and Joseph and Dominic already helped me bake the big cake :) Sheโs so lucky to have two big brothers that love her so much ๐
2. Speaking of the boys, my husband took them over to his parentsโ house for the day yesterday and they played around in the yard with a croquet setโฆ love seeing those smiles :)
3. Do you go all out for April Foolโs? Weโre super boring and donโt do any pranks here, lol!
4. Currently lusting after all of Williams Sonoma Easter stuff! (plus itโs all currently 20% off!)
5. As someone who went through middle school, high school, and half of college during the 90โsโฆ

Love this! Ahhhh to be cell phone and social media free again :) My husband and I were talking a few nights ago about how 25 years ago we were waiting in line at a pay phone to call our parents to get a ride home from the movies, and now you can get phone calls, messages, and the weather on your watch. Insanity.
6. What prompted our discussion was that my husband bought me an Apple Watch for my birthday last week and I LOVE it! I had been thinking about one for a long time, but had yet to pull the trigger. I love it because I am ALWAYS missing calls since I have a habit of not keeping my phone on me, especially when Iโm wrangling kids, plus I love that I can see the weather at a glance, and can track my activity for the day.
7. I happened upon this on Pinterest โ how often you should clean everything โ and ummmmโฆ does anyone actually clean all of these things this frequently?! (Iโll just hide over here in case the answer is yes.)
8. I donโt do keto, but I do try to stay away from processed foods/sugar during the week, so I am alllllll about these chocolate brownie fat bombs!
9. We watched The Founder last weekend about the beginning of McDonaldโs. Have any of you seen it? Itโs not exactly what I would call a โfeel goodโ movie and left me feeling so bad for the brothers who started the original restaurant!
10. TGIF! Hope you have a great weekend!

You have the โperfect familyโ including those gorgeous doggies! ย So nice the kids all get along together so well and Isabelle is lucky to have such doting brothers. ย I definitely do not do all those cleaning tasks so we can hide over โthereโ together๐. ย I have not watched The Founder but it sounds interesting. ย McDonaldโs has evil food so I guess itโs no surprise there was some evil in its history๐. ย A big Happy Birthday to Isabelle. ย Hope you all have a wonderful party.
Happy Birthday, Isabelle!!
Have a fun 1st birthdayโฆ.
God bless!
Awww โ Happy Birthday sweet baby girl!
My oldest daughter is expecting our first grand baby next month. A girl :) I canโt tell you how excited we are. To be able to hold a little one again is such a gift I will treasure and live in the moment with.
Love your posts, your family and your goldens! Thanks for all you do. Enjoy the weekend
I do everything on the first list except the coffeemaker (I donโt drink it) and laundry. Itโs just me and doing laundry daily would be a waste of water and soap. With two dogs, if I didnโt sweep or robovac daily, the dirt and hair would push us outside in two days. I do change my sheets every Sunday. The rest I do when I have time.
Happy, happy birthday to Isabelle! Sheโs such a cutie pie!
I love that you linked to a Chocolate Covered Katie recipe! I havenโt made that particular one, but I eat her chocolate peanut butter baked oatmeal nearly every morning. I have several other recipes from her on my to-do list.
Iโm about the same age as you, and yes Iโm so glad I grew up in the last generation before social media and cell phones really took off!
She is such a beautiful baby girl. And โgeek outโ momentโฆbut I so look forward to your kidโs birthdays to get to see the cake, how you decorated, pics, and the menu. Doggies look lovely too..funny how they pose side by side for a picture to be taken. P.s. you always dress your kids in such cute clothes. Isabelle has the cutest girly adorable clothes and your boys always look so handsome and put together. I dont know how you can do all of that and still look so put together yourself. Youโre an amazing Mom to your kids and an amazing doggie Mom too.
I donโt know why, but I just teared up looking at that blue-eyed girl of yours. Sorry for being sappy, but she is so precious. (And I know in todayโs society it is always dicey to comment on a childโs appearance or attribute gender traits, so please do not take any offense. I just donโt know of any other words to say other than she looks like a little angel and she made me smile.) When I look at your three little blessings, I wish I could have had one of my own.
Awww oh my gosh, no offense taken. Big hugs, xo
:) This reply should probably be in the โ1st Birthdayโ update, but it all comes down to this: โSTOP!โ You are going to kill the internet with cuteness! OMG. That smile could make dictators cry, criminals confess, and the lonely look up with hope to the future. Your children can only be absorbed in small doses thoughโthey can literally bring tears of joy on first sight. They are the embodiment of the little precious momentsโ dolls. (SorryโI know too much.) Best to you as always, Michelle.
