This is going to be a quick Friday Thingsโฆ it's Thursday night and I'm typing from my phone, as we've lost power due to ice today, ugh!
However, I wanted to get in an obligatory photo of my crew (I love their little huddle here!) and address one of the questions from last weekโฆ

I had asked if you still preferred Friday Things every week or if you would rather have less frequent updates, such as monthly. The response was overwhelming and unanimous โ keep Friday Things every week! Just to be clear โ it's not too much work and I wasn't looking to go in another direction, but since I've been doing it for SO long (started in 2012!), I wanted to make sure it was something YOU still found valuable. So, no worriesโฆ it will continue to be here each and every week (minus holidays, like next week) ๐
Now, I'm off to put on fleece layers, climb under blankets and cross my fingers that the power kicks back on soon!
These two snuggle bugs should generate a lot of warmth ๐

Sorry to hear about the lack of power there! ย Iโve never experienced that in autumn/winter in southern BC, Canada although it happened twice in mid-winter when I lived in Sydney Australia. ย Although itโs not as cold there (no snow but temps dropped to 6C in the early morning), it was damp and the insulation wasnโt nearly as good as here. ย Weโve only had a dusting of wet snow so far and it melted very quickly and Iโm hoping it continues on like this. ย We are being asked to conserve natural gas (heating and cooking) due to a recent pipeline explosion so weโre not as toasty as usual. ย Happy to hear Friday Things will continue. ย Will miss it next week. ย Happy US Thanksgiving!
Hope you get the heat back on soon! I truly enjoy Fridays and look forward to your blog, I love seeing your family grow and learning and using new recipes.

I am so happy that you are keeping Friday Things. Itโs like you are part of my family now and I canโt wait to see what you, the kids and the fur-babies have been up to all week. I have two Cairn terriers and I just adore them. My husband and I were not able to have children so my boys, Tucker and Alfie Moon get spoiled ROTTEN! Stay warm and dream of Thanksgiving LOL!

Oh no! I hope you get power soon. Hopefully you can use your fireplace to help keep things warm until then. Iโm in California and we could use some of that snow and ice โ weโre currently having air quality problems from the fires at both ends of the state.ย

I hope you have your power back and are toasty warm. ย Iโm in central IN and there are several thousand homes still without power here which should be restored by midnight tonight.
