Friday Things
1. Joseph turned 10 months yesterday! (The picture above is a few weeks old, but I love it!) I have no idea where this entire year has gone, but Iโve loved every second of it. Hereโs a snapshot of Joseph at 10 months:
Weight: 19-20 lbs (itโs been a few weeks since he was weighed)
Height: 27 inches
Teeth: 5 (there will be 7 any day nowโฆ theyโre RIGHT THERE)
Favorite Foods: Puffs (omg, heโs addicted), banana, avocado, pasta
Loves: Music, opening doors and drawers (we baby-proofed this week!), pulling everything off of his changing table shelves, playing with the window cranks, baths!
2.ย On a less happy note, Joseph got sick for the first time this past week. He came down with a cold last weekend with congestion, a runny nose, cough, ugh. Heโs pretty close to being back to 100% (and in the process passed his cold onto me, bleh), but seeing him sick and under the weather was the saddest thing :(
3. Did you hear that Christopher Kimball will no longer be with Americaโs Test Kitchen? I was so shocked when I read the news! Apparently they couldnโt come to a contract agreement, but heโs basically the face of that brand, crazy!

Aww, heโs so cute! Iโm sorry that he was sick. My dad is bringing the turkey for Thanksgiving. Iโm making stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, bread, and pumpkin pie.
Joseph is so cute in his flannel shirt! sorry he got his first cold and passed it to youโฆlol..prepare yourself for more of that in the future. The boys (doggies) are looking good and happy. Not sure about Thanksgiving yet โ know I am making a ham.other items still up in the air- my sister is in charge of dessertโฆ
The picture of Joseph reminds me of the commercial with the dog named โDuckโ. Donโt remember what itโs for โ a car maybe? Really cute.
Iโm having Thanksgiving dinner with a friend & her family โ 11 in all. Iโm taking rolls โ white & wheat made from Rhodes frozen dough (Iโm a yeast killer), bacon wrapped dates stuffed with cream cheese, and Thanksgiving shaped cheese crackers โ taste like Cheez-Its. Iโm finally using my pie crust cutters I bought 3 yrs. ago.

Re: squashโฆso much better flavour if itโs cut in chunks and baked. The caramelisation is what makes it so good! If you microwave it while before about 3 minutes before cutting, it makes that job much easier. I may try your Cranberry Orange Cheesecake for our work Christmas party. Joseph and the dogs are gorgeous as always. Happy Thanksgiving.

Joseph has grown so very much. My Dr. when I had my second child, he was a Joseph also measured his height at age 2 and told me that he would be close to 6โ5โณ when grown. he hit the nail squarely on the head as heโs 6โณ5โณโฆI wish Iโd known that when Nick was 2, but heโs tall too at 6โ3โณโฆmy daughter was 2โณ taller than predicted & the youngest was on the money again at 6โฒ โฆnothingโs guaranteed but it was a fun thing to anticipate. Thank you so very much for all the love and thought you put into your blogโฆIโm sure everyone else appreciates it as much as I do.

Joseph is too cute! I canโt wait for thanksgiving! I donโt know what Iโm making for the day, but the saturday after my grandma and I have plans to bake Christmas cookies! Which is so exciting! :)

The pups look like theyโve got quite the protective hedge around Joseph. Thatโs the best picture. Are your floors hardwood? That hand-scraped wood is gorgeous. We just put porcelain tile floors in our kitchen, and they look JUST like yours. In fact, one of the guys from the company who did our kitchen was out. When he got back to the shop, he said how much he liked our wood floors. He, being from the company who installed our floor, couldnโt tell they were not wood! Your floors are beautiful! For Thanksgiving, one of the dishes Iโm making is your Cranberry Eggnog Cheesecake โ 2nd year in a row. It is delicious! I make a little bit of a large variety of things to go with turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing, so I wonโt list it all, but definitely had to give a shout out to your recipe for the cheesecake. Joseph look so cute. Glad to hear that both of you weathered his first cold. Sorry to hear now you are the one with the cold. Ugg bad timing with Tโday soon approaching. I just saw 2 interesting Tโday recipes. Apple pumpkin pie and a different pie that uses fig newton cookies in the crust. Since we like pumpkin/sweet potato pie year round I think I will try the fig newton crust on a 4 inch pie. Wonโt risk it on Tโday or on a large pie. Anyone ever make these variations?
Going to buy a turkey fryer today. How much oil does tge large butterball fryer use? Looking forward to having entire oven for sides and pies.

Joseph looks like a little Butterball turkey in that shirt and Iโm loving it. Seeing the photos of him with the dogs melts my heart each week and I just want to give all 3 a big hug. Itโs going to be a good weekend in PA to stay inside with some soup, sweats and snugglesโ best way to sure a cold :) Hope you get all 3 worked in and are feeling better by Thanksgiving
I canโt stop laughing at the cutting carbs meme. Especially since Iโm pregnant, Iโm like, uhm, carbs, give me. Joseph is getting so big! I hate when people would tell me how fast it goes, but somehow my ow son is 18 months and I have no idea how.

Okay, I just had to leave a comment saying how cute Joseph looks (not to mention trendy!) in that that plaid flannel shirt. At least it looks flannel. And flannel is so comfy. For anyone whoโs ready thisโฆ.Target makes a really nice flannel shirt by Mossino Supply Co. that was on sale for $15 and it SPOT ON for woman. (Weโre not gonna look as cute as Joseph but we can try ladies =)
