Easter Weekend Photo Diary [2018]

Weโre still rolling in ham, lamb, potatoes and dinner roll leftovers here, and while Iโm still gobbling them up, I wanted to share pictures from our holiday weekend!
It looks very convincingly un-holiday-ish because aside from Sunday we really had a very low-key couple of days at home. My energy is waning, my feet are swollen, we didnโt have any big egg hunt, I forgot to buy WHITE eggs for coloring (doh, organic brown eggs!), and so we all just relaxed and enjoyed time together at home. We had Easter dinner at my momโs house with my in-laws and grandparents; we all had a fun day and the boys came home with tons of bunny treats.
Enjoy!
Kicked off the weekend on Friday with curbside pickup at the grocery store because, at nearly 39 weeks pregnant I was not about to brave the grocery store on Good Friday afternoon. Itโs less than a 10-minute drive, but Joseph had apparently been worn out by his swim lesson and lunch!
When he falls asleep in the car and then gets woken up, he isโฆ rather unpleasant, to put it mildly, HA. Re-entry takes awhile and he eventually just laid down on the kitchen floor.

Joseph is madly obsessed with cars right nowโฆ my husband went to the auto show back in February and brought home some brochures and Joseph asks to read them almost every day. He knows nearly every make of car and some models, too. Heโs at such a fun age!
We got a new entryway rug and I am IN LOVE with it! The boys are, too โ itโs so soft and theyโve been bringing their dump trucks and cars to run along the โtrackโ designs in the rug. [Itโs this one from Wayfair.]
I was officially 39 weeks on Sunday, only a few more days now!
We spent some time on Saturday put the finishing touches on the nursery, I washed all of the old swaddling blankets and car seat fabric, the swing and bouncy seat are washed and put back together, and we are officially ready!
Aaaaaaand yesterday morning we woke up to FOUR inches of snow, what?! This was the view from our bedroom windowโฆ
It may have actually been the most gorgeous snowfall of the season, but it was totally and completely melted by dinnertime, which was kind of insane.
I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend that was full of time spent with loved ones and lots of delicious food!

Adorable children, love their outfits!
We have chickens and always dye our brown egs. They are my favorite colors. Deep blues and ruby and emerald green and goldsย
We got a little snow on Easter too in Kansas City. Your tummy looks cute but Iโm sure youโre ready to meet your little girl. Canโt wait to see pix of her. Love the pix of the boys & your pups.
Michelle,
it strikes me every time I see pictures of your beautiful family how much the boys love each other. You have done such a great job fostering that in them. That picture of Joseph with his arm around Dominic โ so precious! And his freedom to just zonk out on the floor โ I laughed out loud at his adorable-ness. And their love and ease around the dogsโฆ oh, I could go on and on. You look radiant at 39 weeks. How exciting! God bless you and your whole family during these last few days and when you bring your daughter home. You have a lot of people on the BEB team rooting for you!
Aw that means so much Bettiโฆ we really do try to teach them to be kind and loving to one another. Some days it works more than others ;-) But on a whole, it makes my heart swell to see them together, hugging each other, laughing togetherโฆ itโs the best :)
The boys look too cute in their Easter outfits! ย Praying all goes well for you and your new baby girl. We colored eggs for Easter then forgot to get them out. ย ๐คฆโโ๏ธ ย

Hi Michelle! ย You look amazing. Good luck with the new baby. This is definitely my favorite post of the year. The boys with the dog are so adorable and I canโt get over ย how much they love each other. ย I thought about you the other day. I was in a thrift store and I found a pizzelle machine which I always wanted. I thought I wonder if Michelle has a recipe for this? ย Hahahaha. I havenโt looked yet but we donโt need it until Christmas anyway, right? ย Take care. Be well. Thanks for the pictures. Lindaย
Hi Linda, Thank you! And yes, I do have a pizzelle recipe here on the site (https://apex-male.info/pizzelle-italian-waffle-cookies/%3C/a%3E%29 โ Iโm hoping to post my mother-in-lawโs recipe before Christmas this year because itโs my all-time favorite!
