An Update + Prayer Request

So many of you have reached out over the last two weeks asking if everything is okay because I have not made any recent posts. I appreciate your concern so much.

Last week, our son Dominic was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer of the nerve cells. He has a tumor in his abdomen and we know the cancer is also in his bone marrow. He is being admitted to the hospital this week to begin treatment.
He is currently doing great, feeling well, and running around playing. Even with all of the pokes and prods and procedures he’s gone through over the last two weeks, he’s never complained and is as happy as ever. He’s totally our hero.
We appreciate all of the prayers and good, positive thoughts you can send his way 💙

I knew something very important was keeping you away from your blog but it just never occurred to me that it was one of your beautiful children. As a mom and grandmother, my heart breaks for you. Please know that we all hold you close to our hearts, in our thoughts and prayers. Remember you never know how strong you are until strong is the only choice you have.
Will be praying for Dominic. Wish there was more that we could do, but prayers are very powerful. I pray God’s tender mercies on you and your family as you go through this trying time. May you feel his presence and love. Lean into him and let his peace comfort you.

I’m so sorry to hear about Dominic. I have a child with a serious Illness and I know too well the stress it puts on the entire family.
Would Dominic like cards, games or small books or projects? Please let us know if we can send him something via a post office box. We care and certainly would like to help in whatever way we can.

The updates on your sweet family are as much a reason to read your blog as your fabulous recipes💕I’m a longtime reader and it’s been so fun to watch your family grow through the years. Your 3 seem to have a lovely sibling bond. Special prayers for Joseph and Isabelle as your family goes through this. Prayers that Dominic tolerates his treatments well and he is restored to full health.

Ohhhhh, Michelle!!! I am sooo heartbroken to hear about Dominic. I’m typing through tears. Your posts on Fridays always makes my heart sing. I love hearing about the kids and the dogs (I still miss Einstein!) like I do my great-nephews and great-nieces.
