An Update + Prayer Request

So many of you have reached out over the last two weeks asking if everything is okay because I have not made any recent posts. I appreciate your concern so much.

Last week, our son Dominic was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer of the nerve cells. He has a tumor in his abdomen and we know the cancer is also in his bone marrow. He is being admitted to the hospital this week to begin treatment.
He is currently doing great, feeling well, and running around playing. Even with all of the pokes and prods and procedures he’s gone through over the last two weeks, he’s never complained and is as happy as ever. He’s totally our hero.
We appreciate all of the prayers and good, positive thoughts you can send his way 💙

Michelle, I will also be praying for Dominic. I always enjoy reading your blog and family updates and knew something was wrong when you didn’t post for a while. My mom subscribes to your weekly blog as well and we were discussing you and your family wondering what may be going on. So weird, we don’t even know each other but I feel like I do. My mom and I were saying that we never know why things happen the way they do, but certainly God knew what he was doing when he put the thought in your head to start a blog and share your life with the world. You now have community support when you need it the most. I have faith that this too shall pass and the angels will be guiding you every step of the way.
Keeping Dominic in my prayers and all of you as well. You are loved by so many and supported now in your time of need. Stay strong.

So sorry to hear this news.
Make sure he gets the best care. I’m sure that the hospitals in Pittsburg are good, but you might think about St. Jude’s in Memphis. I think that is the best hospital for Children with cancer. There have been many good treatments developed over the years. Get him into the best hospital you can.
